USLatino.com was greeted by Melissa Davis the event media coordinator. ROC the runway opened the show with Nereida Vazquez of “Nereida from the Roc” with body painting were immediately grasped the attention of the audience in attendance.
ROC The Runway took place at the Art Memorial Gallery. The show was well hosted by R&B singer T-Dash Powell and reality TV sensation of VH1 “Basketball Wives” the beautiful Jennifer Willians, which spoke a little bit of her agenda in the fashion industry as well as her Flirty Girl Fitness. Flirty Girl Fitness is an upscale women's studio with locations in Toronto and Chicago. Jennifer also co-founded Project Save the World. This charity supports many different causes such as breast cancer, youth violence and many more.
ROC The Runway showcased Rochester designers like the beautiful and talented Blynn Nelson with her collection of high end necklaces “Reckless Necklace”. Dream Kandy, Fierce Boutique, Mogoul Movement, Noir Bella, Raul Siro Ferreira “Siro Desings” and the show closed with a collection of Nathaniel Johnson of “Nathaniels Originals”.
Each designer was accompanied with music by Cruelty Free who performed Alternative and Rock and Roll, R&B by Jamel Lorrick and Muziq Korner, Pop Culture by Adventurous, Jazz and Opera by Allison Child and Muziq Korner.
The highlight of the show was when T-Dash got on his knees to sing to Jennifer Williams. Over all the show was entertaining and was well organized and in my opinion everyone was delighted.
